North Carolina High School Basketball - Smoky Mountain over Tuscola

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) and the visiting Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), saw Smoky Mountain's basketball squad overcome Tuscola by a tally of 64-48.

With the victory, Smoky Mountain improves its record to 8-14 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC) to confront the Eagles in a 3A Conference 54 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-13. East Henderson won 72-63 in their recent league challenge against Pisgah (Canton, NC)

Next up, the Mountaineers confront the West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) in a 3A Conference 54 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Tuscola will attempt to improve on its 2-21 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 16-7 record after their 68-62 league win over Franklin (Franklin, NC).
