North Carolina High School Basketball - Smoky Mountain crushes Tuscola

January 10, 2023: Waynesville, NC 28786

Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), 67-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Smoky Mountain upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs host East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC) to play the Eagles in a 3A Conference 54 bout on Thursday, January 12. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 7-10. East Henderson won 77-35 in their recent non-league bout against Rosman (Rosman, NC)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) in a 3A Conference 54 bout, on Thursday, January 12. Tuscola will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 62-54 league loss to Franklin (Franklin, NC).
