In Friday's league test, the Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC) basketball squad got by the visiting Community School of Davidson Spartans (Davidson, NC), by a score of 73-66.

Next, the Raptors encounter the Christ the King Crusaders (Huntersville, NC) in a 1A/2A Catawba Shores test, on Tuesday, December 17. Mountain Island Charter will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Crusaders come into the test with a 3-3 record after their 58-39 non-league win over Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy (Mooresville, NC).

The Spartans (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC). The Eagles come into the 1A/2A Catawba Shores test with a 3-4 record. In their last test, Lincoln Charter held off Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC), 68-62, in a league test.
