The Mountain Island Charter Raptors basketball squad (Mt. Holly, NC), was outscored 65-49 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Bradford Prep Bears (Charlotte, NC)

With the victory, Bradford Prep advances its record to 7-4 on the year. The Bears travel to Covenant Day (Matthews, NC) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 3. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Covenant Day lost 66-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC)

In their next game, the Raptors battle the Pine Lake Prep Pride (Mooresville, NC) in a 1A/2A Catawba Shores challenge, on Tuesday, January 7.
