In Friday's non-league test, the Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) basketball squad trounced the visiting Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL), by a final score of 72-50.

Next, the Mustangs clash with the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls (Wesley Chapel, FL) in a 6A District 9 test, on Thursday, December 19. Mitchell will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Bulls come into the test with a 7-2 record after their 58-57 non-league loss to Vanguard (Ocala, FL).

The Buccaneers (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Anclote (Holiday, FL). The Sharks come into the 4A District 9 test with a 3-4 record.
