West Virginia High School Basketball - Nitro triumphant over Wayne

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) and the visiting Wayne Pioneers (Wayne, WV), observed Nitro's basketball team overwhelm Wayne by a score of 70-41.

The Wildcats (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Ripley (Ripley, WV). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Ripley was routed by Spring Valley (Huntington, WV), 64-63, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Pioneers encounter the Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Wayne will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Bison come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 47-43 non-league loss to Hoover (Clendenin, WV).
