In Friday's league test, the Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Verrado Vipers (Buckeye, AZ), by a score of 52-42.

Next, the Scorpions encounter the Paradise Valley Trojans (Phoenix, AZ) in a 5A Desert West test, on Tuesday, December 17. Desert Edge will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Trojans come into the test with a 4-5 record after their 61-40 league win over North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ).
