Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX), 41-24 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lovejoy upgrades its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Leopards host Wylie East (Wylie, TX) to play the Raiders in a 5A Region II District 10 bout on Friday, December 17. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 9-5. Wylie East won 69-63 in their recent league bout against Denison (Denison, TX)

Next up, the Cougars play the Wylie East Raiders (Wylie, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 bout, on Tuesday, December 21. The Colony will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 67-42 league win over Lovejoy (Lucas, TX).
