The Sherman Bearcats basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Lovejoy Leopards to 34 in the Bearcats league victory on Tuesday.

The Bearcats now sport a 7-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host The Colony for a 5A Region II District 10 contest on Friday, January 7. Sherman will battle a Cougars team coming off a 48-39 league loss to Princeton (Princeton, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 6-8.

The Leopards (13-9) will now prepare for their contest against McKinney North (McKinney, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 5A Region II District 10 contest with a 20-1 record. In their last contest, McKinney North prevailed over Denison (Denison, TX), 53-46, in a league contest.
