Illinois High School Basketball - Central overwhelms Jacobs

December 14, 2022: Algonquin, IL 60102

Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Central Rockets (Burlington, IL) and the host Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL), saw Central's basketball squad wallop Jacobs by a tally of 65-38.

With the victory, Central improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Rockets host Hinsdale South (Darien, IL) to play the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 17. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Hinsdale South lost 75-53 in their recent league challenge against Proviso East (Maywood, IL)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Dundee-Crown Chargers (Carpentersville, IL) in a Fox Valley challenge, on Friday, December 16. Jacobs will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 60-50 league loss to Prairie Ridge (Crystal Lake, IL).
