The Hayesville Yellowjackets basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Swain County Maroon Devils to 38 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hiwassee Dam for a 1A Conference 43 contest on Monday, December 19. Hayesville will meet a Eagles team coming off a 57-51 league win over Highlands (Highlands, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-3.

The Maroon Devils (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Murphy (Murphy, NC). The Bulldogs enter the 1A Conference 43 contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Murphy was defeated by Union County (Blairsville, GA), 58-49, in a non-league contest.
