In Friday's league match, the host Hough Huskies basketball team scored a decisive 59-17 triumph over the West Mecklenburg Hawks.

In their next game, the Huskies meet the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a non-league match, on Monday, December 19. Hough will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 69-37 non-league loss to Cardinal Gibbons (Raleigh, NC).
