North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC), 87-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 18-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) to play the Mavericks in a 3A/4A Conference 60 bout on Friday, January 27. The Mavericks come into the bout with a record of 15-3.

Next up, the Huskies play the Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 60 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Hough will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 64-11 league win over West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).
