Fans at Friday's league challenge between the North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) and the visiting Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), saw North Mecklenburg's basketball squad overcome Mallard Creek by a tally of 55-46.

With the victory, North Mecklenburg improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Buccaneers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. Charlotte Country Day School lost 57-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC)
