The McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE) basketball felled the host Shelby-Rising City Huskies (Shelby, NE), 61-49 in Friday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (5-0) will now prepare for their test against Heartland (Henderson, NE). The Huskies go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Heartland was beaten by Thayer Central (Hebron, NE), 55-21, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Shelby-Rising City moves to 3-3 on the year. The Huskies host High Plains (Polk, NE) to meet the Storm in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 20. The Storm enter the match with a record of 3-1. High Plains won 41-28 in their recent non-league match against Exeter-Milligan (Exeter, NE)
