Maryland High School Basketball - Bishop McNamara tops Our Lady of Good Counsel
December 18, 2023: Olney, MD 20853 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD) and the host Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD), saw Bishop McNamara's basketball squad knock off Our Lady of Good Counsel by a tally of 60-45.
With the victory, Bishop McNamara improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD) to play the Knights in a Washington Catholic challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. St. Mary's Ryken won 53-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Wise (Upper Marlboro, MD)
Next up, the Falcons play the Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves (Dumfries, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Our Lady of Good Counsel will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 70-66 non-league loss to Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA).
