In Thursday's league bout, the Valley Union Blue Devils (Elfrida, AZ) basketball team were winner over the host Patagonia Lobos (Patagonia, AZ), by a tally of 41-33.

The Blue Devils now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lourdes Catholic for a 1A South bout on Tuesday, January 6. Valley Union will play a Warriors team coming off a 34-15 league loss to Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind (Tucson, AZ). The Warriors record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Patagonia falls to 1-6 on the season. The Lobos host San Simon (San Simon, AZ) to encounter the Longhorns in a 1A South test on Thursday, January 8. The Longhorns come into the test with a record of 6-4.
