The Akron Tigers basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Alden Bulldogs to 33 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cleveland Hill for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Akron will meet a Golden Eagles team coming off a 57-36 non-league win over Maryvale (Cheektowaga, NY). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 1-1.

The Bulldogs (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Le Roy (Le Roy, NY). The Oatkan Knights enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Le Roy was defeated by Livonia (Livonia, NY), 48-45, in a league contest.
