In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Tri-Valley Mustangs basketball team scored a tight 50-48 triumph over the Vermillion Tanagers.

In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) in a non-league match, on Thursday, January 5. Tri-Valley will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record.
