The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) and the host North Edgecombe Warriors (Tarboro, NC), observed SouthWest Edgecombe's basketball team edge North Edgecombe by a margin of 51-49.

The Cougars (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC). The Jaguars come into the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Rocky Mount Prep was tipped by Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC), 79-60, in a league challenge.
