The SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC), 69-45 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 16-5 record. They play next when they host West Craven for a 2A Eastern Plains bout on Friday, February 14. SouthWest Edgecombe will play a Eagles team coming off a 73-61 league loss to North Pitt (Bethel, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 5-14.

With the loss, Tarboro falls to 12-5 on the campaign. The Vikings host North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC) to confront the Husky in a 1A/2A Four Rivers game on Friday, February 14.
