Maine High School Basketball - Orono holds off Old Town
December 23, 2024: Orono, ME 04473 The Orono Riots basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Old Town Coyotes to 38 in the Riots league triumph on Monday.
The Riots now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Presque Isle for a B North game on Saturday, December 28. Orono will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 68-34 league loss to Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-2.
With the loss, Old Town falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME) to confront the Eagles in a B North game on Saturday, December 28. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 5-1. Ellsworth won 68-34 in their recent league game against Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME)
