In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Hough Huskies basketball team scored a close 42-37 win over the Mallard Creek Mavericks.

The Huskies (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against East Lincoln (Denver, NC). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, East Lincoln edged Christ the King (Huntersville, NC), 62-55, in a non-league contest.
