In Friday's league contest, the host Southeast Halifax Trojans basketball team scored a big 73-50 triumph over the Weldon Chargers.

The Trojans (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Warren County (Warrenton, NC). The Eagles go into the 1A Tar Roanoke contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Warren County smashed North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC), 57-54, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Chargers confront the North Edgecombe Warriors (Tarboro, NC) in a 1A Tar Roanoke contest, on Saturday, December 7. Weldon will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
