In Friday's league contest, the host Northampton County Jaguars basketball team scored a good 70-50 win over the Weldon Chargers.

The Jaguars (13-5) will now prepare for their contest against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC). The Jaguars come into the 1A Tar Roanoke contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Rocky Mount Prep defeated Weldon (Weldon, NC), 77-70, in a league contest.
