North Carolina High School Basketball - Piedmont beaten by Monroe

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Monroe Redhawks basketball team scored a good 46-35 triumph over the Piedmont Panthers.

In their next game, the Redhawks face the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, December 13. Monroe will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 3-4 record after their 66-39 non-league loss to Independence (Charlotte, NC).

With the defeat, Piedmont moves to 2-4 on the year. The Panthers host West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to face the Colts in a non-league match on Friday, December 16. The Colts enter the match with a record of 0-5.
