Ohio High School Basketball - Elgin crushes Fredericktown
February 1, 2022: Marion, OH 43302 Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Fredericktown Freddies (Fredericktown, OH), 71-24 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Elgin upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Comets host Ridgedale (Morral, OH) to clash with the Rockets in a Northwest Central bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 1-13. Ridgedale lost 59-56 in their recent non-league bout against Cory-Rawson (Rawson, OH)
Next up, the Freddies clash with the Centerburg Trojans (Centerburg, OH) in a Knox Morrow bout, on Friday, February 4. Fredericktown will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 16-1 record after their 55-50 non-league win over Wellington School (Columbus, OH).
