Ohio High School Basketball - Elgin crushes Fredericktown

February 12, 2022: Marion, OH 43302

Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Fredericktown Freddies (Fredericktown, OH), 62-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elgin upgrades its record to 18-4 on the season. The Comets host North Union (Richwood, OH) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 15. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 15-4. North Union won 74-43 in their recent league bout against Benjamin Logan (Bellefontaine, OH)

Next up, the Freddies clash with the Newark Catholic Green Wave (Newark, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 15. Fredericktown will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Green Wave go into the bout with a 10-10 record after their 67-27 league loss to Northridge (Johnstown, OH).
