Kansas High School Basketball - Nemaha Central overwhelms Jefferson West
February 1, 2025: Seneca, KS 66538 The Nemaha Central Thunder basketball team scored 67 points and limited the visiting Jefferson West Tigers to 27 in the Thunder non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Thunder now possess a 9-4 record. They play next when they host Hiawatha for a Big East game on Tuesday, February 4. Nemaha Central will play a Red Hawks team coming off a 44-33 non-league loss to Troy (Troy, KS). The Red Hawks record now stands at 8-4.
With the loss, Jefferson West falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Rossville (Rossville, KS) to play the Bulldogs in a Big East game on Monday, February 3. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 6-6. Rossville lost 48-42 in their recent non-league game against Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool (Topeka, KS)
