Iola Bulldogs (Iola, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Burton Panthers (Burton, TX), 55-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Iola upgrades its record to 10-16 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Normangee (Normangee, TX) to play the Panthers in a 2A Region IV District 26 bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-24. Normangee lost 67-42 in their recent league bout against Mumford (Mumford, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Snook Bluejays (Snook, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 26 bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Burton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Bluejays go into the bout with a 8-19 record after their 71-61 league loss to Somerville (Somerville, TX).
