The Somerville Yeguas basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Iola Bulldogs to 53 in the Yeguas league triumph on Friday.

The Yeguas now sport a 16-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Hardin for a non-league contest on Monday, February 20. Somerville will meet a Oilers team coming off a 68-48 league win over Sabine Pass (Sabine Pass, TX). The Oilers record now stands at 11-12.

The Bulldogs (11-17) will now prepare for their contest against Evadale (Evadale, TX). The Rebels enter the non-league contest with a 18-18 record. In their last contest, Evadale was nudged by Big Sandy (Dallardsville, TX), 61-39, in a league contest.
