February 4, 2023: Burton, TX 77835 In Saturday's league outing, the Somerville Yeguas (Somerville, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Burton Panthers (Burton, TX), by a count of 80-37.
The Yeguas (13-14) will now prepare for their outing against Normangee (Normangee, TX). The Panthers go into the 2A Region IV District 26 outing with a 8-22 record. In their last outing, Normangee was crushed by Snook (Snook, TX), 39-33, in a league outing.
The Panthers now hold a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to Mumford for a 2A Region IV District 26 outing on Tuesday, February 7. Burton will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 76-43 league win over Snook (Snook, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 21-10.
