Texas High School Basketball - Burton knocked off by Normangee
February 3, 2023: Burton, TX 77835 The Normangee Panthers basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Burton Panthers to 35 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 8-21 record. They put it on the line next when they host Snook for a 2A Region IV District 26 contest on Saturday, February 4. Normangee will meet a Bluejays team coming off a 76-43 league loss to Mumford (Mumford, TX). The Bluejays record now stands at 7-17.
The Panthers (2-12) will now prepare for their contest against Somerville (Somerville, TX). The Yeguas enter the 2A Region IV District 26 bout with a 12-14 record. In their last bout, Somerville toppled Iola (Iola, TX), 50-44, in a league bout.
