February 10, 2025: Piasa, IL 62079 Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL), 44-22 in a league match.
With the victory, Staunton upgrades its record to 23-5 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to North Mac (Virden, IL) to face the Panthers in a South Central match on Tuesday, February 11. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 11-17. North Mac lost 59-55 in their recent league match against Pana (Pana, IL)
The Piasa Birds now sport a 8-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Litchfield for a South Central match on Thursday, February 13. Southwestern will face a Purple Panthers squad coming off a 55-37 league win over Vandalia (Vandalia, IL). The Purple Panthers record now stands at 12-15.
