The Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting L'Anse Purple Hornets to 45 in the Lakes league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lakes now sport a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hancock for a Western Peninsula contest on Thursday, February 16.

The Purple Hornets (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Jeffers (Painesdale, MI). The Jets enter the Copper Mountain contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Jeffers ran past Chassell (Chassell, MI), 39-35, in a league contest.
