Minnesota High School Basketball - Maple Grove overwhelms Coon Rapids

February 15, 2023: Maple Grove, MN 55369

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Maple Grove Crimson (Maple Grove, MN) and the visiting Coon Rapids Cardinals (Coon Rapids, MN), saw Maple Grove's basketball squad wallop Coon Rapids by a tally of 68-31.

With the victory, Maple Grove improves its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Crimson travel to Champlin Park (Champlin, MN) to play the Rebels in a AAAA Section 5 challenge on Friday, February 17. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 6-13. Champlin Park lost 91-76 in their recent league challenge against Park Center (Brooklyn Park, MN)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Andover Huskies (Andover, MN) in a AAAA Section 7 challenge, on Friday, February 17. Coon Rapids will attempt to improve on its 5-16 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 16-5 record after their 91-58 non-league win over Elk River (Elk River, MN).
