Minnesota High School Basketball - Blaine holds off Coon Rapids
January 10, 2023: Coon Rapids, MN 55433 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Blaine Bengals (Blaine, MN) and the host Coon Rapids Cardinals (Coon Rapids, MN), saw Blaine's basketball squad hold off Coon Rapids by a tally of 87-82.
With the victory, Blaine improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Bengals host Anoka (Anoka, MN) to confront the Tornadoes in a AAAA Section 7 challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Anoka lost 67-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Elk River (Elk River, MN)
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Andover Huskies (Andover, MN) in a AAAA Section 7 challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Coon Rapids will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 68-58 non-league loss to Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN).
