In Thursday's non-league match, the host Charlotte Latin Hawks basketball team scored a tight 71-64 triumph over the Covenant Day Lions.

In their next game, the Hawks meet the Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 18. Charlotte Latin will attempt to better on its 14-11 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 26-3 record after their 100-52 non-league win over Comenius (Fort Mill, SC).

With the defeat, Covenant Day moves to 14-16 on the year.
