Tennessee High School Basketball - Covington can't hold off Munford

The Munford Cougars basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Covington Chargers to 76 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Raleigh-Egypt for a 3A District 15 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Munford will battle a Pharaohs team coming off a 46-45 league win over Brighton (Brighton, TN). The Pharaohs record now stands at 16-6.

The Chargers (3-17) will now prepare for their contest against Craigmont (Memphis, TN). The Chiefs enter the 3A District 15 contest with a 3-16 record. In their last contest, Craigmont was nudged by Millington Central (Millington, TN), 83-69, in a league contest.
