February 2, 2024: Monticello, AR 71655 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Monticello Billies (Monticello, AR) and the visiting Hamburg Lions (Hamburg, AR), saw Monticello's basketball squad overcome Hamburg by a tally of 51-33.
With the victory, Monticello improves its record to 8-15 on the campaign. The Billies host Watson Chapel (Pine Bluff, AR) to confront the Wildcats in a 4A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 11-12. Watson Chapel lost 66-63 in their recent league challenge against Stuttgart (Stuttgart, AR)
Next up, the Lions confront the Mills University Studies Comets (Little Rock, AR) in a 4A Region 8 challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Hamburg will attempt to improve on its 9-14 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 17-8 record after their 88-45 league win over Star City (Star City, AR).
