The Dripping Springs Tigers got by the visiting Hays Hawks softball squad by a final score of 4-3 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Tigers (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Canyon (New Braunfels, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Canyon was edged by Clemens (Schertz, TX), 4-3, in a non-league battle.

The Hawks now possess a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Lockhart for a 5A Region IV District 25 battle on Tuesday, February 27. Hays will meet a Lions squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Mercedes (Mercedes, TX). The Lions record now stands at 6-7.
