The Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX) softball routed the host Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets (Edcouch, TX), 13-7 in Tuesday's league outing.

The Vikings now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lopez for a 5A Region IV District 32 outing on Friday, February 27. Pace will encounter a Lobos team coming off a 5-1 league win over Rivera (Brownsville, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Edcouch-Elsa moves to 7-4 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Weslaco East (Weslaco, TX) to meet the Wildcats in a 5A Region IV District 32 test on Friday, February 27.
