In Friday's non-league game, the host Davie War Eagles baseball team scored a close 9-8 victory over the Alexander Central Cougars.

The War Eagles (1-2) will now prepare for their game against West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC). The Titans enter the non-league game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, West Forsyth held off West Stokes (King, NC), 6-0, in a non-league game.
