The Hough Huskies basketball team (Cornelius, NC), was toppled 70-60 in Friday's league battle with the host Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC)

The Mavericks now possess a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Mecklenburg for a 3A/4A Conference 60 battle on Tuesday, February 7.

The Huskies (14-8) will now prepare for their battle against West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Wolverines come into the non-league battle with a 13-7 record. In their last battle, West Cabarrus was toppled by Mooresville (Mooresville, NC), 81-64, in a league battle.
