In Friday's league outing, the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) basketball squad edged the host Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), by a count of 50-43.

The Vikings (20-2) will now prepare for their outing against Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers go into the 3A/4A Conference 20 outing with a 13-9 record. In their last outing, Laney held off South Brunswick (Southport, NC), 50-12, in a league outing.
