Virginia High School Basketball - George Wythe fells Galax
February 3, 2025: Wytheville, VA 24382 The George Wythe Maroons basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Galax Maroon Tide to 42 in the Maroons league triumph on Monday.
The Maroons now possess a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Grayson County for a Mountain Empire game on Tuesday, February 4. George Wythe will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 55-46 league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 10-6.
With the loss, Galax falls to 13-2 on the campaign. The Maroon tide travel to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to confront the Pioneers in a Mountain Empire game on Tuesday, February 4. The Pioneers go into the game with a record of 15-2. Fort Chiswell lost 66-64 in their recent league game against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA)
