In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Galax Maroon Tide basketball team scored a good 57-42 win over the Fort Chiswell Pioneers.

The Maroon Tide (14-2) will now prepare for their contest against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils come into the Mountain Empire contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Grayson County was topped by Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA), 58-19, in a league contest.
