February 3, 2025: Mount Airy, NC Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots (Mount Airy, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting South Charlotte Thunder (Matthews, NC), 40-37 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Surry HomeSchool advances its record to 6-12 on the year. The Runnin' Patriots travel to Greater Cabarrus Stallions (Concord, NC) to face the Stallions in a North Carolina Home Education - West match on Thursday, February 6. The Stallions enter the match with a record of 6-19. Greater Cabarrus Stallions lost 43-37 in their recent league match against Surry HomeSchool (Mount Airy, NC)
The Thunder now own a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westminster Catawba Christian for a non-league match on Thursday, February 6. South Charlotte will face a Indians squad coming off a 72-26 league loss to Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC). The Indians record now stands at 10-11.
