The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Salpointe Catholic Lancers (Tucson, AZ) and the host Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ), observed Salpointe Catholic's basketball team overwhelm Ironwood Ridge by a score of 52-27.

The Lancers (22-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ). The Badgers enter the non-league battle with a 10-12 record. In their last battle, Tucson High Magnet School walloped Rincon/University (Tucson, AZ), 58-51, in a league battle.

The Nighthawks now own a 10-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sahuaro for a 4A Kino battle on Thursday, February 5. Ironwood Ridge will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 42-33 league loss to Walden Grove (Sahuarita, AZ). The Cougars record now stands at 14-9.
