The Sahuaro Cougars basketball squad (Tucson, AZ), lost 52-39 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ)

With the victory, Ironwood Ridge advances its record to 11-13 on the year. The Nighthawks travel to Mica Mountain (Tucson, AZ) to meet the Thunderbolts in a 4A Kino battle on Friday, February 6. The Thunderbolts enter the battle with a record of 16-8. Mica Mountain won 76-41 in their recent league battle against Walden Grove (Sahuarita, AZ)

The Cougars now own a 14-10 record. They play next when they travel to Salpointe Catholic for a 4A Kino contest on Friday, February 6. Sahuaro will battle a Lancers team coming off a 70-45 non-league win over Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ). The Lancers record now stands at 23-3.
